Deep Tissue Overview (Neck and Back)

So many massage therapists, new and old, have asked me to
help them give a good deep tissue without getting fatigued or
injured. Too often poor technique combined with overexertion
and repetition often lead to nagging injury and a shortened
massage career. Deep tissue massages shouldn't have to be so
fatiguing, and we can all use a refresher from time to time.
In this refresher course we will dissect all aspects of giving a
solid Deep Tissue Massage. We will demystify what your
clients expect from a Deep Tissue. Discuss proper hand and
body positioning to gain leverage. As well as review anatomy
and trigger points. Whether you are challenged by deep work,
or just want some new tools, this course will give you the
confidence and techniques needed to satisfy your client’s
therapeutic needs.
This Class is $175, 7 hours in length with a 1 hour lunch break
for a total of 7 CEU’s . Attendees should come prepared to
give and receive bodywork: bring your lotion, sheets, face
cradle and blanket. Tables will also be provided. The course is
held at Sage School of Massage on the corner of Revere and
4th street in Bend.
